I spent 10 days in Auroville. I stayed in Sri Vast Ashram. It's a center of ecology and spiritual studies.
First 5 days we had a festival, called Nature Spirit Festival. Having different theme everyday, we celebrated life.
Program included meditation, yoga every morning, various workshops, satsang with guruji, bhajan, concert, theatre, indian dance performance, beach yoga, etc...
Here I taught my first butoh workshop and had my first butoh performance. It was a great experience.
People went very deep in the workshop. I was glad to see that.
In my performance, I performed with a musician, who played dijirudoo(I don't know how to spell..)and a metal drum called Hang. There was a nice connection between us in the space. (No photos of the performance because it started spontaneously...)
There was also a permaculture workshop in a permacultural farm in the ashram. It was good and educational.
Theatre performance was so fun! Hilarious!! I laughed so much. It was a spiritual comedy about a lady who comes to India from New York to find happiness. On her journey she meets strange cult, many saints including real and fake, and party hard in Goa...Their sense of humor was great.
One day we went to beach and Guruji taught yoga and played after. It was so nice. I love beaches so much.
After the festival, we had Inner Yoga Training for 5 days.
Inner yoga, developed by Guruji, helps us return to our most natural state, with slow and mindful movement. Guruji himself gave classes and lectures.
Inner Yoga has so much common with butoh dance. I like it a lot.
The ashram is a beautiful and happy place surrounded by Nature. It also has a school for kids, so many kids are playing there. It was so nice to see and play with them.
I had such a amazing magical time in this place. I am so grateful for
